Save the Children fights for children’s rights and delivers immediate and lastingimprovement to children’s lives worldwide. Save the Children has been working inBrazil since 1991 and in 2011 we partnered with an established Brazilian organisationFundacão Abrinq to enable us to increase the impact and reach of our work forBrazilian children.
The purpose of this role is to support Fundacão Abrinq – Save the Children to reviewand strengthen its monitoring and evaluation systems and to increase the capacity ofthe in country staff to develop and implement monitoring and evaluation systems. This will involve carrying out an initial assessment visit to identify current needs,workshops with staff and partners and on the job mentoring to strengthen capacity of staff to effectively implement and monitor projects in accordance with Save theChildren policy and best practice. It is estimated that this will require approximately 15 weeks working time over a 9 month period.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of all aspects of monitoring andevaluation, including planning and implementation of M&E systems within aninternational NGO. You will also have excellent communication and capacity buildingskills and be fluent in Portuguese.
